PRP

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections are a more natural approach to facial rejuvenation. PRP uses your body’s own products to stimulate growth factors and collagen to fill in skin lines, decrease discoloration/pigmentation, add volume to hollow areas (such as tear troughs), and increase facial radiance. Dermal fillers do a great job of volumizing the skin with an immediate result, whereas PRP has a slower progression, but also improves overall skin tone and texture. Additionally, whereas dermal fillers may carry some additional risks for those individuals with autoimmune disease, PRP is a safe and effective alternative treatment.

PRP injections improve overall skin texture, decrease the appearance of pores, fine lines and wrinkles and plump hollowing areas such as tear trough grooves. PRP can also help smooth both acne and surgical scars.  PRP is injected into the deeper layers of the skin for long-lasting results and may be used as a stand-alone treatment or in combination with other medical aesthetic procedures and/or medical grade skin care for optimal results.

Benefits:

  • Regenerates the skin and stimulates new collagen to slow down and help reverse the signs of aging

  • Thickens thinning skin

  • It can fill in areas where dermal fillers are not safe to use

  • It is made from your own cells that are drawn and centrifuged to improve skin tone and texture

PRF

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a version of the much-praised PRP.  PRF has the amazing capacity to release your body’s growth factors “over time”, encouraging longer-term benefits than the platelet-rich plasma injection.  PRF under eye injections of the tear trough yield beautiful, natural results, especially when paired with other treatments or medical grade skin care. PRF under-eye treatment can help the improvement of fine lines and wrinkles, skin thickness, under-eye hollowing, and correction of dark circles.

Three treatment sessions are generally recommended, spaced 1-2 months apart, to achieve optimal results.  PRP/PRF facial injection treatments will not have the immediate results of a dermal filler treatment because the volume added by PRP/PRF injections is reabsorbed by your body within 2-3 days. Gradual tissue regeneration begins within days and continues for months after the treatment. Results typically last 1-2 years.
